A man, who is wanted in America for conspiracy to murder, arrives in England via a very small port using documents not forged, but obtained under false pretences.
He manages to stay in the UK for seven years under authorities radar.
Until one fateful Boxing Day, when he commits a murder and two attempted murders of serving Police Constables, the first time for nine years an officer on duty had been killed in Britain.
